OCF at LSU is Formed!

On Monday night Nov 24th the new LSU chapter had its first meeting at the Patrick Taylor Hall.  It was well attended by students, OCF members, guest speaker and family, as well as family of the new OCF-LSU Director, Rashidat Balogun. We were all treated to good ole Canes Chicken compliments of John Poindexter at Blackhawk DataCom. Mr. Kyle Allemand gave his testimony about his trials and tribulations with a crippling brain stem tumor which doctors said should have incapacitated him. God in the mean time was telling Kyle something else. Needless to say, Kyle’s testimony was powerful and something those in attendance will never forget. We all felt the spirit of God in the room, and were strengthened by Kyle’s testimony. Rashidat, is to be commended on her tireless efforts with organizing the meeting, seeking LSU’s administrative approval, and working with OCF to sponsor the event. The on campus stage has been set for students to gather together for fellowship in a Christian environment. This chapter will be a blessing to many people! A big thanks goes to Jody Blaylock with the Covington, La. OCF for working with Rashidat (pronounced Rasheeda) to put this first meeting together.

NOTE:  After Rashidat's graduation the chapter has lapsed into inactivity.  We are asking for any LSU students who are interested to contact Rashidat, Jody and Doug about getting the chapter started back up for the fall 2017 semester.
